Hi everybody! I hope your new year is going well. I know the resolutions are being written and put into action. I of course have resolutions like everyone else and couldn't wait to start. I have dived straight into my resolutions this year and dropped everything cold turkey. At this point in my life turning 30, being married, transitioning careers, losing weight, facing fears, parental death, there is no better time than now to make changes.
I love the idea of becoming disciplined and I feel like that isn't something I can ease into, I just have to go cold turkey. It helped that I was able to accomplish some goals before, so I know I can do it again. Me vs. Me is my motto because I am my greatest opponent.
My goals have been to change my eating habits (I lost 45 lbs in 2021 but gained it back throughout 2022 🥲), giving up social media (bye bye endless scrolling)read more books (I've always been a reader( make sure you follow my book blog on ig: @blackgirlbookchat), work towards transitioning careers(I retired from 7 years of teaching in 2022), get my business back on track, work on nurturing relationships that mean the most to me, and some other things.
If you made it this far thank you for reading! I'm going to share my book list below. Let me know if you have any questions!
